The sector will train its own talent

Representing 600 authorized dealers and 1,250 plazas across Turkey, OYDER provides direct employment to approximately 50,000 people and is collaborating with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, which stands out with its pioneering work in applied education, to implement a strong cooperation model that extends from education to employment.

Thanks to this collaboration that brings together applied education, internships, micro-qualification programs, and career opportunities under one roof, students will have the chance to meet the sector during their education, while businesses will be able to directly reach the qualified professionals of the future. This model, which presents a new vision for university-industry collaboration, aims to strengthen the career journey of young people while providing a sustainable solution to the automotive sector's need for qualified human resources.

The program, which will start as a pilot application, plans to include students in internships and graduates in employment processes, with the goal of expanding the model's scope in the coming years to reach more young people.

Rector Dalgar: "We will prepare our students for the business world more strongly"

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, the Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, stated that universities should now be stronger centers that prepare more students for the business world, emphasizing, "We value our students meeting the sector during their education, gaining real work experience, and participating in employment more strongly after graduation. We are a university that produces experienced graduates. We are one of the strongest universities in Turkey in the applied education model. This collaboration we have established with OYDER is an example of our approach to training students together with the sector.”

Koyuncu: "We are investing in the future of the sector"

OYDER President Ömer Koyuncu emphasized that qualified human resources are critically important for the sustainable growth of the automotive sector, stating, "We want to support the talents needed by the sector from the student period and connect young people with career opportunities. We believe that this model we will implement with MAKÜ will serve as an example for university-industry collaboration and will spread on a larger scale over time."

The talents of the future will be trained with micro-qualification programs

Thanks to the micro-qualification programs, which will be one of the important components of the collaboration, students will have the opportunity to receive direct training from industry professionals. Shaped according to the current needs of the automotive sector, the micro-qualification programs will enhance students' professional competencies while accelerating their adaptation to the business world. Students who successfully complete the programs will be included in the talent pool of the sector and gain access to internship and career opportunities.

MAKÜ's applied education experience will strengthen the project

As one of the pioneering institutions of applied education models in Turkey, MAKÜ has been successfully preparing its students for the business world with its 3+1, 6+2, and 7+1 education models for many years. In the new collaboration, comprehensive internship and career opportunities will be created primarily for students studying in academic units that provide applied education.
